  Just want to say from the outset that my normal experience at Goonawarra Fish Shop is good however last night was one out of the box.
  Once I Ordered I stood back and watched the disaster unfold.
  Yes you were busy so busy that your staff could not keep up with the orders so all the food was being cooked and left on the drip tray above the fryers for over 40 minutes. yet you kept on taking orders for food that you could not deliver in an acceptable time.
  You could have had total control of the situation but you chose to keep pushing orders through rather than stop and pack the orders that had been cooked. After 40 minutes I gently asked if you had missed my order and then the panic set it and you started to take food out of the other peoples orders to fill mine.
  The order was 1 x Piece of Flake $9.00, 2 Potato cakes $2.60, 1 x Dim Sim $1.30, 1 x Scallop $3.00 a total of $15.90 which is a fair price. (Order A-746 if you want to check). I thanked you very much and took my order. I then sat in my car and opened the order. as I expected every thing was just barely warm. The flake had become a sponge and all the oil had soaked right through the flesh, same for the other food. Best of all was the scallop which actually wasn't a scallop, it was actually a deep fried pickled Onion I think.
  I did phone your shop and let you know that the order was wrong and that the quality of the food was ordinary and not acceptable. thank you for the offer a refund but I wasn't after a that. I just wanted you to understand that your food Quality was unacceptable. Can I also say at no time was I aggressive or abusive in my phone call to you and did not appreciate you hanging up.
  You need to understand that the life has been given so you can prepare and sell food. So Respect that life and deliver GOOD food.

  We have ate here a few times and normally disappointed with quality compared to other local fish n chips. Last night was the last straw and never again. we ordered $73 worth for the family. Hamburgers with the lot looked like plain burgers. No lettuce no tomato. Just burnt pattie, fried onions and egg for $10! Disgraceful. Never again.

  Really delicious fish and chips, were prepared timely, were hot and crispy. Will definitely return when I'm in the area

  Would love to say our local is good but after 5 or 6 attempts unfortunately I can’t say the food is great at all.. 4 out of 5 times chips / potatoe cakes are soggy.. I guess not drained enough or they have been under cooked. Always left feeling disappointed. Hopefully they can improve as time goes on.
